The whistleblowing system is available to receive any reports of acts that violate the
Ethical Principles and the Code of ConductAs part of its activities, Limagrain interacts with many stakeholders in many countries and is committed to conducting its business in compliance with applicable legislation and in accordance with its own ethical principles, as set out in its Code of Conduct
Everyone – whether employees, service providers or partners – can report a situation that may be contrary to these principles. To this end, Limagrain has implemented a whistleblowing system that ensures alerts are reported and handled with complete confidentiality (identity of the whistleblower and of the persons mentioned, description of the facts, personal data, among others).
The main features of this system are as follows:
• Any situation or behavior that violates the Limagrain Code of Conduct;
• Any situation that may constitute a crime or offense, as well as a violation or attempt to conceal a violation of the law or regulations, or a threat or harm to the public interest
Who can make a report?
The person making the report (called the “whistleblower”) must be an individual, acting in good faith, and must not obtain any direct financial benefit from the report. The whistleblower may be an employee, director, intern, shareholder, former employee, job applicant, external or occasional collaborator of the Group (service provider, subcontractor, supplier, customer, etc.) or any other third party that has a relationship with any Group entity.
What protection is given to the whistleblower?
Whistleblowers are protected by applicable legislation. Limagrain undertakes not to punish, dismiss or discriminate against any employee for reporting, in good faith, facts that fall within the scope of the whistleblowing system.
On the other hand, misuse of the system may subject the person responsible to sanctions and/or appropriate legal measures.
